Free Minutes for Returning Bikes at All Stations on the Main Campus

To improve bike availability on the main campus, the Unit Mobility, in cooperation with MOBIbike, has launched a joint project:

Starting immediately, you’ll receive 10 credit minutes every time you return a bike to a return station on the university’s main campus!

This is intended to create an additional incentive to ride a MOBIbike to main campus more often. Previously, credit minutes were only awarded when returning a bike at the two MOBIpoints on campus. Now, you’ll receive 10 credit minutes when returning a bike at both the MOBIpoints and the virtual stations. The goal of this measure is to increase bike availability on campus and thereby further enhance the semester ticket through a significantly improved bike rental system.

You’ll receive the 10 credit minutes when you return a bike at any virtual station or MOBIpoint on main campus. These are the following stations:

  • MOBIpunkt TU Dresden
  • MOBIpunkt Mommsenstraße (Radrückgabestation vor Toepler-Bau)
  • Georg-Schumann-Bau TU Dresden
  • Hülsse-Bau TU Dresden
  • Helmholtzstraße
  • Hörsaalzentrum TU Dresden
  • SLUB Zentralbibliothek
  • SLUB DrePunct
  • StuRa-Barack

What are credit minutes?

You can then use the credit minutes you’ve earned for rides that last longer than 30 minutes. Once the 30 free minutes per rental have expired, your credit minutes will be used first before any charges apply. This means you can ride MOBIbikes for longer than 30 minutes for free. Credit minutes can also be used in other German nextbike cities where our partnership applies.
