MOBIcargobikes for Students

As part of your semester ticket, you can now use cargo bikes in Dresden at a discounted rate. The MOBIcargobike offers you a sustainable and practical transportation solution for shopping, moving, and leisure activities—all without a car or driver’s license. With eleven bikes at five locations near the university and a total of 20 cargo bikes throughout Dresden, there’s always a cargo bike near you.

Exclusive benefits:

Starting in May 2025, as a student in Dresden, you’ll benefit from a special rate: The first 60 minutes of every ride are completely free for you! After that, you’ll pay just 2 euros per 30-minute increment, with a daily cap of 18 euros. The MOBIcargobike must be returned to the rental station before your next use; otherwise, a service fee of at least 20 euros will apply.

  • Technische Universität Dresden (Nürnberger Platz)
  • Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (Schnorrstraße)
  • Wundtstraße (Studierendenwohnheime)
  • St. Petersburger Straße (Studierendenwohnheime)
  • Fritz-Löffler-Straße (Studentenwerk Dresden; Studierendenwohnheime)

… additional locations are available at nine existing MOBIpoints.

Important: The cargo bikes must always be returned to their home station!
